Thread: Awesome article about PSO

  1. i had fun with the dc and gc versions, by the end, when the x-box version hit i was crashed with playing the same game over and over. you can only do the mines so many times. however i am really excited for ps universe, so whatever, i proably played 400 hours on all 3 versions.

While this is true, it doesn't hinder the fact that I found the game memorable; PSO was my first real online gaming experience, and boy - was it an experience to remember.
Currently playing: Binary Domain (PC), EVE Online: Retribution (PC), Guild Wars 2 (PC)

  3. Are there still servers running for the GC version?
I've seen it for cheap, and I've been meaning to pick up a BBA.

There's also a feature on the Revloution, in which they say the same things that 1Up said about it, that is it's great to use. And there's an entertaining discussion with TV people like Simon Pegg, Graham Linehan and two others on video games, stories and the dreadful voice acting in games like Resident Evil 4.
I need to get a subscription to Edge.

  5. PSO Xbox owned every other version six ways from Sunday thanks to voice chat.

And no matter what anyone says, PSO was an awesome, awesome game. It wasn't simple and repetitive, it was zen.

I put about 200 hours into both the DC and Xbox versions, and I probably would have kept playing had there been more downloadable content once the charges kicked in.

PSO was great for its time and a blast to play.

  7. I think the crazy duping and cheaters finished me off. Oh well.

Oh man, PSO was the world's greatest chat room. My handle/character was Silverman, if any of you happened to remember. It was so great hogging up the house's one phone line for at least 5 hours a day (and exactly when everyone needed it) for like 3 months straight. I think it ended when free ISP's got too sparse and eventually disappeared.

I rememeber trading leet weapons (omg doublesaber!!!), the meager three attacks that were possible, and casting one of like three spells. (Fire! Ice! Heal!). That crap was fun, though. I think my family was glad when I got tired of it, though. BSOD and PK'ers ruined the fun, though.

Ha ha, I did that too.

I only actually found a legit super-rare item once in that entire time (from a blue rappy)... and it was a weapon my character class couldn't even use.

Making those smiley word balloons was awesome.

I need to find my copy of the soundtrack... Some great stuff on there (De Rol Le= best boss track ever).

Says the man who got paid to play The Matrix Online. Aww, cry Melf, cry. Stop making shitty attempts to stand up to me due to your inferiority complex. Save it for the Got-Next private boards where even less people will give a fuck.
