So i did a little looking around, and your series, Battle Network, actually has the first black characters! Remember the slums in that one city in BN2?


The funniest thing was the Native American being the leader of the hm... down-trodden. Then there's Wood Man, who's all sorts of wrong.

well, i meant as far as MAN black people, but yeah, bn is full of ethnic groups. even indians with the red dots. and it's kinda funny 'cause i never thought of woodman like that. but then there are the random japanese characters with the same kinds of lips in other games/anime. like the cook in dragon quest 8. maybe they just don't know how to draw big lips...or they don't wanna take the time to learn.

I didn't think anything of Wood Man either until the whole thing about Oil Man was brought up. I don't think Oil Man's any worse than Wood Man.

Actually the kid himself is a step in the right direction. I am still waiting for Nintendo EAD to put a major black character in one of their games.

Miyamoto (a year or so before Pikim 2) laughing: "But don't worry, there will never be any black Pikmin." Anyone remember that? What the heck was that about? Some say "Oh, he meant black as in 'dark/evil." I dunno if I buy it.

Just saw the movie for this game...
Yeah... Damn you Capcom, but you're increasing the interest I have for this handheld. Between this, Taikobot and a few others I've seen I think a PSP purchase may be in my future soon.
Is Sony still producing the Giga packs for 299.99? I was looking around online yesterday and couldn't find any retailers selling them.

I'm not buying any more games till I finish Tokobot and get 100% items in Prime (so I can finally buy Echoes). AC, Cave Story and my shooters are eating up my remaining game time. Then it will be time for some tasty remake action with Rockman, X, Vile and the gang.
