Today is Rememberance/Veterans/Armistice Day

It's a government holiday today, which just means all government institutions get a three day weekend.

Which sucks, cause now I have to wait until monday for my fedex package. DAMN YOU VETERANS

There were Canadians involved in that war? I did not know this.

I have alot of relatives who fought in WWII, not all still living. My grandfather was a POW after being captured by the Italians in the Africa campaign. He was forced to work in an asbestos mine, without any form of protection, naturally. His lungs gave out in his final years because of it. He wrote a book about his experience, never published. I aim to change that one day.

I was wondering why people were lining up on the streets when I was out earlier, and there were American flags up on the poles and all over the place and such... but I figured it out.

Today was the only day this week that I had time to go by the bank, but because of these damn veterans and their freedom-fighting tomfoolery, my bank felt compelled to take the day off.
