Thread: Blockbuster might file for bankruptcy

With Best Buy around, it's a better bargain to buy movies anyway. I can count the number of games I've rented in the past 6 years on one hand.

  2. This is for charging me 25 bucks in late fees for Suikoden back when they charged you the whole rental price per day after return date.

  3. The local video store in my area does better buisness than Blockbuster, they have like every movie ever fucking made. The downside is it's really expensive to rent from that place and the way they organize their movies is really fucked (if it isn't a 'mainstream' movie then you need to know the year, or director, or what country it was made in to find the fucking movie.

  4. In the Dallas/Ft. Worth area, we have a rental store chain called Movie Trader: Buy, Sell, Trade. They have just about every DVD title available. They were doing so well, that Blockbuster bought them out. The stores are still around, but you have to wonder how far Blockbuster has gone financially, to buy out stores like this and Hollywood video?

  5. Surprised they didn't blame piracy like everyone else.

I used the games freedom pass to rent every xbox game I wanted and copy them to my HD.

    Blockbuster can suck a dick.

  7. I used to be able to rent porn from the video store. I'll be happy when Blockbuster gets out of my way.

  8. i miss the days of walking into a hollywood video and renting 13 new releases in a day for $1 a piece at one day out. i wish they still had that program.

Yes, because that's how acquisitions and mergers work. It's like buying a pair of pants.

I haven't stepped foot in a rental store for years.

lol. If you don't bring it back on time you get late fee's. I love how people hold it against Blockbuster when they're being dicks. I hate it when some douche doesn't bring back the movie I want on time.

  10. I never disliked them that much, recently. We have their online rental service like NetFlix, and we get two free rental coupons for in-store games or movies. And if I don't want to buy a game, it's sort of my only rental option around here.
