    Yes and No.

They make amazing games, but if they upped the pace they all wouldn't be this good.

Case in point: the Bar. It looks like any other area in the game, with a little more neon and some dancers. You get to the owner, who's been talked up as this lowlife scum for a good bit, and turns out he just looks indistinguishable from any other standard human NPC (but for some SCARS ON HIS FACE, omg) and has an office as bland and featureless as any given hallway in the game. You're supposed to be busting this seedy underground player but in the end, it felt like you might as well be taking down an accountant.
IBTN, i read this and went "wow bacon is being over dramatic" and sure enough the bar was just that. The NPC was just that.

IT seems every menu has its own odd button configuration, i had to reload the autosave because i accidentally reduced my Med Armor upgrade II into medi-gel.

I've been meaning to play Baldur's Gate for a long time, but this might force my lazy ass to.

  4. Planescape: Torment imo.

  5. I heard this game sucked because it's not as flexible as a pen and paper RPG. Any truth to that?

  6. Pen and paper sucks, me and my buddies are real into LARP, which is where it's really at. On Tuesdays I get to be a hot underage succubus. I like Tuesdays.

  7. Torment was Black Isle. And yes, if you dig deep conversations, and gaining experience for taking them in certain directions, that's your game.

  8. For some reason I always thought that when Black Isle folded, most of the staff went over to Bioware. Oops.

  9. Maybe some did. I think most are at Obsidian. Neo or Frog prolly know the full details.

  10. There's a few ex-Black Isle guys at BioWare. Also a few at Pandemic - My mate Scott who was a writer / designer on PS:T is now lead designer on Mercs 2
