All you have to do is back up if your shields get wiped and you win. Quickmapping powers to buttons is a must to enjoy combat.

I honestly would have preferred KOTOR style gameplay, it'd bump the game up a point for me, but I'll admit it's gotten friends of mine who could never get into KOTOR's gameplay into this game.

I HATE driving around the Mako. It's seriously the worst gameplay mechanic ever. Why couldn't they just make it control like the Warthog on Halo 3? Everything else about this game is top notch (well, the pop-in and loading kinda sucks). Every side quest you have to drive that piece of shit Mako over these fucking mountains and it flips over and OH GOD I HATE IT. The story is awesome and I finally caught on to the battle system so now I'm kicking ass.

Edit: When you are zoomed in on the Mako with the L-Trigger if you push in the Right Thumbstick you can zoom in a second time which makes shooting much easier.

I did and it still sucks. Why didn't they just make it control well? God forbid should someone be shooting at you while you are driving then its even worse.

The only trouble I had with the Mako was trying to get it to fire lower than turret's range of motion would allow. The controls are fine.

I mean, it's pretty much a faster Scorpion. lrn2drv

I finally beat it, clocking in at around 13 hours and 22 minutes. Over all it was very good, great even. It had the epic feel of kotor, and the battle system grew on me. But the glitches are just unforgivable at this point, come on guys.

The fact that it's only 13 hours makes me very happy. I just bought the game yesterday.

Its only 13 hours if you fly through everything and only play it once. I've put roughly 40 hours into it using 2 character builds, and i'm going to play it at least one more time.

I was close to 20 hours on my first playthrough and didn't do anywhere near everything possible.

Im about 10 hours in. i friggin love it.
Took me a couple of tries to realize the backup and shoot tactic.
It gets annoying when the bastards just bumrush you like that.
Im in the mining station clearing out the geth. its a bitch and a half.
But im loving it.
