TNL Movie Club

I don't like that. I want this to be fun for everyone and it shouldn't feel like an obligation. It's not a real club where anyone can get cut. We set a time frame of 2 weeks (we can change this as necesary) to see the movie before we move to the next film. If you don't want to watch the select movie or you just can't get to it, than that's perfectly fine. We'll have the movie list based on the people that join in from the start, new people can come and join in when they want and when we start making a new list, then new people can throw their choice in.

Fair enough, but I agree that there shouldn't be a master list. Just let people pick the movie we watch when their turn in rotation is up. Oh and I support this, just in case people were wondering. It should be done in the order people joined.

DVD only is fine by me.

We should make the official bookclub thread a sticky thread. I don't mean THIS thread. Once we have all of the details and rules set up (for picking) we should make a new thread labelled the official movie club and sticky it to the top of Cinemania.

This thread will be updated with a new title every time we change movies so people know when a new movie has begun. I'll make the thread and keep it updated if Rumpy thinks this will be too much of a chore for him to handle.

So s a slight alteration to choice 1 seems to be the favorite so far. We make a list of the participants (I agree on that it should be in the order people joined) and then as each person comes up, they pick a movie. Odds are that's what we'll end up doing so there is no need to list movies.

I agree. If we were to list movies we'd have to do ALL of them before putting in new ones, anyway, or else the one nobody picked would be stuck in movie club hell forever. This way is much better. Just compile a list of people in a master list and go down that.
