I just got there this afternoon.

After about 11 hours, I can honestly say that this game rocks. I know everyone here expects every RPG released to push the genre forward, but I'm content to play a traditional JRPG, old school style. I loved DQ 8, and this is as close as there is on the 360. Great stuff!

It's not that as much as people don't expect to be playing SNES RPGs on the 360.

Then the answer's simple: Don't buy it.

I don't mind playing a traditional RPG, and I really don't care if the game is a SNES RPG with modern presentation. I'm enjoying it.

After playing through the demo, I cant get that damn boss music out of my head.

The presentation and design on a lot of the enemies is really good, but the repetition of the usual jrpg grind got under my skin. The Barrier thing seemed like a good way to counter that repetition though. Ill give the full game a shot later when I have more patience...maybe by then a patch will come out that replaces the boss music....with anything...Id settle for it being muted but sound effects on...

I love the Boss theme.

The first time I heard it I couldn't understand what the big deal was. But after the second time I was hooked.

i'm watching my boy play it now...and it's smooth as hell and no way Xbox could run it this smooth...edges are polished well and very fluid..nice game and with the mega 60+ hours of gameplay, what a great experience lies ahead..
