I visited Dollywood on two separate occasions during my early childhood and all that I really remember is feeling fucking frigid after making the mistake of embarking upon the wet and wild “log ride” attraction sometime during the start of Autumn (obviously, mountainous regions are quite cold in the fall) and the fun I had frolicking about the gigantic ball pits that were complete with steep, slippery slides, basketball hoops, detachable bulls-eyes that could be stuck to the clothing of one’s friends/enemies, and fully scalable rope walls.
Actually, my best memories of the Gatlinburg area come from visiting a couple of local arcades where I proceeded to beat down a bunch of older kids on a big-screen Street Fighter II setup and defeat the then-new TMNT: Turtles in Time with three other friends.
Ah, the glory days of arcade gaming.
