Thread: Nintendo DS outlook in 2006

  1. Speaking of Meteos, I saw it going for 9$ new at my local Wal-Mart. I'm not really in the mood to buy any more games, but from what I've heard, buying a copy for under $10 would be a steal.

    It's a walk away, too.

Or maybe the Mario Kart DS pack and Meteos.

Of course you will need Nintendogs at some point. Oh yes, yes you will.
I might get the MK pack, but no Nintendogs for me. We got a puppy 5 months ago and I rather play with him than on DS The only downside with Napoleon (our pup) is that his shit is more potent than anything I have ever smelled.

Damn, I bought Trauma Center from Walmart yesterday, and Meteos was still stickered at $29.99. Is it the kind of sale that only rings up at the register? I don't think I've ever seen them re-sticker a game at Walmart. They still have Bujingai for $40.

All three. Those are the three best games available for the DS, along with Mario & Luigi 2.

Also, I'm really enjoying Trauma Center so far. It's quickly turning into one of my favorites.
Buy Yakuza and Oblivion. Help yourself, help TNL.

Shit, Meteos was worth the 30 I paid for it. Do it.

    I second this notion.
    R.I.P. Paragon Studios

  6. I thought Meteos was great and is easily one of the most played games on my DS behind Mario Kart and that wacky music game that starts with Osu! and ends with whatever.

So, yeah, if you haven't done it yet, I'd recommend the Mario Kart pack and Meteos to start off with. Castlevania is fantastic too, but is kind of more of the same, which I love and hate it for. :-P

I was kind of interested in this game, as well as that one about the lawyer (Phoenix Wright? I'm really tired. I can't remember). How does this game play?

  7. -Mario Kart all the way. After clearing out all the cups and missions I don't think there's much else to do other than racing online with it. (time trials are retarded)

-Meteos is better in multiplayer. I'm kind of bored with it otherwise.

-I'd rather pick Animal Crossing over Nintendogs. Be forewarned of all the shortcomings. The Cube version is way better.

-Trauma Center is awesome but it pisses the hell out of me sometimes. It's hard as a mother.

Trauma Center is really fun, but it turns into a fucking bitch. The last few levels are devastatingly hard. Holding the tiny stylus for so long gave me major cramps. You should get it only if you have a high tolerance for really frustrating games.

Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney is great. It's on the shorter side so I'd gamefly it or whatever, but it's damn fun. The story is your basic F-chan fare but the localization is superb. The cases are pretty interesting too, especially the 4th one.

  9. I don't care if this picture is fake... it still makes me a bit misty-eyed.

  10. I just don't see how Majesco can get Dust Strikers out in Feb., but Judgement is supposedly pushed back until May. It shouldn't be a technical issue, since Reload seems to have gotten a good port in Japan. What's the deal?
