This confirms Michael Bay as one of the worst directors in hollywood.
The words of this movie meant little to me, in fact I enjoyed a lot of it. There was just too much of and not enough of the robots doing anything, and when the robots were doing anything it was boring.
I would have enjoyed a making of the robots for this movie probably 10x more than the movie itself. Because at least seeing how they went about designing and rendered the robots would have focused on the best part of this movie.
Keep funding the sequel, guys. Keep funding the sequel.![]()
I really didn't get the shaky cinematography junk until I saw Green Street Hooligans. I think it's supposed to divert your attention from shitty dialogue and/or make Elijah Wood look like he can fight.
I went expecting a Michael Bay movie with giant robots kicking ass and that's what I got. It was a great flick. Considering who was behind it, the structure of the movie and all of the cliches were just where I thought they were. Sure it's a flawed movie (the head of Sector 7 bugged the hell out of me and the little boombox transformer was irritating too), but fuck it. I had a great time watching it.
Considering the source material it turned out great. Great cast, insane CG work...watching them transform was like the coolest shit ever. Action scenes were dope too. Seems like a lot of pointless complaining going on in here to me.
