Transformers Live Action Movie

This movie is average at best. For the reasons above listed. You can call me an 80's nostalgic ass, but I've never cared about or watched transformers, so I'd say my opinion is pretty unbiased.

I can't believe I'm gonna have to agree with Dyne on this one the movie was good anyone that hated it and can't explain why is an ass.

Transformers transforming and tearing shit up...and fuck going through 25 pages.

Good:

- Peter Cullen was awesome. But I actually know him more for his voice over work for cartoon network than for his work on transformers.

- Shia LeBouf was great, he had most of the only laughs in the movie.


- There were some cool actions scenes, and some of the robots did look cool.

Bad:

- It had all the Michael bay trademarks: product placement, loud flashy scenes, shots of the pentagon, air fore one and high ranking personell, lots of deaths yet no blood, etc. Certain scenes felt like they were rehashed from other Michael Bay films. Armageddon style metorites, shia and the girl on the street like the island, shia and the girl on the car at the end like armageddon.

- I will say this about the product placement, it was no where near as bad as the island, but still, did we need a mountain dew and xbox360 robot?

- This movie was a shakey cam NIGHTMARE. It was almost impossible to keep track of the action because all the shots were zoomed in really close and shaking like crazy or panning left and right really fast. Which is a shame because I think some of the action towards the end would have looked amazing if it was actually shot competently.

- John Turturro was garbage.

- Most of the comedy fell flat, I basically laughed at all the unintentional shittiness.

- It was way too long, this thing should have been 88 minutes long.

- Most of the human subplots should have been removed, especially that shit with the female signal expert or whatever she was supposed to be.

Saw this movie today, and was very disappointed. An average movie at best, started out strong but the entire climax was terrible.

Even if the camera's hadn't been shaky as fuck for it, it still would have been aweful. The were hardly any actual depth to the fights between transformers, the fight between Megatron and Optimus Prime, wasn't really a fight you didn't see much go on between them. Same with all the robots. Every action scene was pretty boring. The first 30 minutes of this movie were really good, it was all down hill from there.

I stand by that if the DVD comes with a making of the robots, with short movies of all the animations they do in the films and then some, and some interviews with the main female role and the main male role, the extras will be better than the movie itself.

1. The whole argument is suggestive. noones right.

2. All the good/bad points are actualy good points except i didn't mind the product placement. I live in L.A. product placement is a way of life.

And John Turturro was just silly for no real reason. They should not have gotten him to play that role. He ruined the entire character and really ruined the scenes he was in.

3.I am personally willing to overlook the bad,and focus on the good. Thats why i enjoy it. Im not gonna let bad casting, and the Bayism's ruin my enjoyment of the movie. If say....Steven Spielburg actually made the movie. it probably would have been 20x better. as it is i still love it.

4. Disrespecting someone cus they like a movie you don't proves how much of a small minded moron you truly are.
