Why is the list of Autobots so skimpy? And what's up with Soundwave being absent? He's one of the most popular Transformers...

They wanted to show team unity. Basically, the entire first half of the film Megatron is nowhere to be seen. Therefore, when he shows up. Starscream is pissed off and thereby showing a split inside the team.

I'm just not sure what I think of the robot modes... they seem too skimpy when it comes to "body" for their vehicle modes. Where does all of the panelling and whatnot for Prime's semi mode come from? Just doesn't make sense IMHO.

Their bodies do look odd but I think it's because the producers tried to transform them without losing or fucking with the parts of the car. Prime looks naked, it's just odd.
