Yea, just because its corny doesn't mean it doesn't hold a nostalgic place in my heart.

I have never heard a person use the word corny in a positive way. Every time I’ve heard it used was by some elitist douche to degrade something he doesn't like and thinks is beneath him.

And I agree ... Corny usually is meant to demean someone or something. Like Your shit is corny or that movie was fucking corny as hell. I never heard someone say ... "Hey That shit was Hella Corny and fun as shit."

Not to mention the label on the picture, "Alien Jet." Why are there so many people asking about that when it's clearly marked as such?

As I said, I don't have a huge problem with it being his Cybertron look but it's also not a really fantastic design either which is why I had hoped that the tank design be kept all around but knowing that there's two versions now it's not as big of a deal. Plus the Tank design in sketch form already looks like you can make out the transformation pretty easily.

I think you're assuming all the larger pieces are single parts like they were in the old designs. As you can see from all the art so far, that's just an illusion and every large "sheet" of metal is actually made of up of smaller parts that line up. Hence why they're all so sleek in robot form.

I actually think all the other models look fine, such as with Bumblebee and Optimus since they make more sense and show more armored pieces that logically make up the car. With this Megatron here though, his armor in robot mode looks so broken up an techno-organic looking that it's really hard to imagine how his transformation will be done logically, although as Cybertron vehicles they don't neccessarily HAVE to since they are not vehicles that are earth based.

Plus it looks like it would take forever to transform.

Corny does not equal bad. Atleast not always, as in the case with the old transformers movie and soundtrack.

I guess but I'm used to hearing corny being associated with "ass", "shit","pile of poo", "lame", etc.

The old movie is corny because of how ridiculous it is. It's all about winning because of the power of the heart, and even beyond just having that message they make it about the literal power of a heart just in case someone didn't catch the first part. The songs were cheesy even when it came out, every character is a stereotype, the bad guys' reasoning for being bad is solely to be bad, and the good guys just want everyone to love each other.

It's also one of the greatest movies of all time.

p.s. The Neverending Story is also corny as hell, and I love that movie too.
