I applied and have yet to hear back... not that that helps you at all.
Right now I'm kind of half hunting for a new job, as I'm getting frustrated with the way things are being run at my current employer (another office store, that shall remain nameless.) So I casually check out some online jobs, and I find that OD has an opening in my area for a "Product Solutions Manager." I read the description, and it seems like it takes some of the things I like about the job and gets rid of things I don't like about my current one. I'd wager the pay is higher too.
I know no one here has worked at this particular store, but has anyone worked there or had friends who have worked there? If so were you/they happy? It's been my experience with retail chains if you've worked one store chances are it's very similar all over the place. I'd like to get a feel as to what to expect.
Worked at a Staples for a while. Office Depot was shitty competition.
Pretty much the same stuff, though. Got by for a little while selling people printers with features they'd never have any use for, ever, with overpriced bs "gold plated" USB cables and a year's worth of ink and paper.
Ho ho ho.
I missed out. They now sell "clean electricity" surge protectors.
I'm prolly dumb, but who would buy that other than music producers?Originally Posted by YellerDog
