Thread: Megaman Zex DS

How could anyone like EXE more than Zero?

Indeed. They like to run a series into the ground and then when people are totally sick of them, start a new one. It works though.

I should mention that this game is a lot easier than Zero, and less frustrating. They didn't completely neuter the difficulty like they did in the Igarashi Castlevanias, but it's not brutally hard either. Easy by megaman standards.

i like how light hearted the exe series is compared to zero. and again, it's a great 2player vs game. if you don't have anyone to play with, just playing one game in the series will do you fine. also, i was still into the x games when zero came out. i played the first zero game and didn't really feel it was worth playing afterwards. all this new sad sad future story stuff. yuck.

  5. ZX doesn't keep that post apocolyptic vibe like Zero does. Reminds me more of X in tone.

I'm not a pussy, and I don't play well with others, so EXE is a lousy fit I guess.

  7. I can easily see why someone wouldn't like Mega Man games taking themselves so damn seriously. It's one of the last series I ever expected to blossom into retarded melodrama, and although it never got quite as dumb as Sonic I still think "serious" Mega Man is ridiculous.

  8. That is why i hate the X series. That and it just feels slow and clunky. But Zero was cute and was swift in comparison, so i like it. Never played 3 or 4.
    Donk

  9. Oh and can I mention what relief it is to play a DS game that doesn't awkwardly attempt to integrate touch screen and dual screen elements that don't belong just because? ZX doesn't use the touch screen for anything, even menus.

  10. I wasn't interested in this game at all until I read Frog's impressions. It sounds pretty good.
