In the late 21st century, a young woman named Violet is a victim of a disease called hemophagia, which gives individuals superhuman abilities but shortens their lifespans. These "hemophages" bear some similarities to vampires and the government is trying to exterminate them. Violet comes across a young boy who may be part of the goverment's plot. She must protect him and find out why he is so important.

Okay, this thing stars Milla Jovovich, and has a distinct Aeon Flux the movie like feel to it, BUT, I enjoyed Equilibrium a lot, so I'll probably end up seeing this.

Trailer looks really good. I usually find Milla Jovovich annoying in action movies (I don't buy anorexic women in ass-kicking roles), but I liked Equilibrium so I'll be sure to check this out. Hopefully (unlike Equilibrium) it'll play in more than 3 theaters nationwide.

I love how director Kurt Wimmer gave all the bad guys in Equilibrium black motorcycle helmets with glass face plates to he could have Preston (Christain Bale) shatter the glass to give impact to his hits, and has now taken it one step further by giving these bad guys great big glass vests to shatter.
