I had fun playing MGS2 last night and shooting tranquilizer darts in E.E.'s face and then blowing her up with remote mines. I have one week left to beat this game!

Kojima's stories are shitty, but fun. Which is why the first MGS actually has my least favorite story of the three... it's just so mundane compared to the other two that there's nothing to distract from all the stupid crap. By comparison, MGS2 has so much going on and is so ridiculously ambitious that even though it fails, it's entertaining to see how it fails.

So I just preordered the 30 dollar version and got the bonus disc on the spot. Was that supposed to happen?

Yes. That's not the movie disc that comes with the LE, just a piddly little documentary.

I'm still curious as to why anyone would want the movie disc anyway but whatever.

Yup, mainly about Solid Snake being the main character in MGS2.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again- the MGS series has it all when it comes to gameplay, but the series was robbed of its potential greatness by being saddled with Kojima's shitty scripts. I hate the man so much.

I actually feel the opposite. I enjoy the gameplay very much, but I'd go so far as to say that if the storyline's weren't so freaking over-the-top and [pretentious] I would care about the games a LOT less. A LOT. The storyline/dialog/presentation/whatever is the most interesting thing about the series to me.
