Thread: Metal Gear Solid 3: Subsistence

  1. It will indeed be hot shit.

  2. This hits today, right? I've moved my PS2 back downstairs to the main TV in preparation, making it more than just a Guitar Hero player once again.

BTW, are there any wireless headsets that work with the PS2? My couch is about 12 feet back from my TV so wired is not an option.

  3. I've been playing the NES version of Metal Gear since yesterday. The card system is really retarded in that game. Did they fix that for the version that's on Subsistence?

  4. It MIGHT hit today, but I'm not expecting it til tomorrow.

I kinda hope it does hit today, I'm off tomorrow and would totally not sleep just to play it.

  5. we should all set up a time to play online. I am not sure how advanced the online lobby system will be, but I am sure we can figure it out.

The version with Subsistence is not the NES version. It's the superior MSX version. I'm not sure about the card system, but I do know that the Subsistence version of the MSX MG1 does not use the weak English translation of the European MSX MG1.

Yeah, the US NES version has some hilarious Engrish. The European MSX version of MG has some typos here and there, but not quite as much Engrish as the NES one. However, unlike the NES version, half the dialog was removed from the European MSX version. Oddly enough, the NES MG translation is actually better than the European MSX MG translation in some ways.
