2006 Oscar Nods

I didnt like Crash and thought both Brokeback and Munich were better.

Pretty bad show, more pretentious than usual and lame dvd-bashing. Jon Stewart was funny however.

I agree with this. I didn't think Crash deserved to win Best Picture. I thought The Constant Gardener was the best picture of the year, but it wasn't even nominated. I did think that Jon Stewart did a good job.

I can't believe I witnessed Crunchy Black of the Three Six Mafia holding an Oscar. The Oscars are crunk. Hell yeah.

I thought Crash sucked. I didn't see any of the other nominees though, but I'm sure they must have been better.

Deffinately a WTF? moment but whatever I'm happy for them.

Thankfully Crash won. I thought Brokeback Mountain was easily the most overhyped picture this year so I was glad it lost. Would've have loved if they showed their faces during that segment though.

I saw Crash for the first time last night and thought it was pretty overrated, sadly, it's the only movie that was nominated which I saw. So I guess I can say which was best when I see the rest of the movies. But Crash just seemed... I dunno, nothing really special.

I also thought Jon Stewart did really well, I liked his reaction to 36 Mafia winning. But there were a couple things bothering me about the whole show.
1. The DVD bashing and lame "Oh you have to see it in theaters" crap, that was just desperate.
2. ALl the black people cheering for 36 Mafia and how they kept showing the black people freaking out in the crowd. I mean, who really cares that John Singleton was really, really excited?

I was thinking earlier that the yprobably could have cut Don Cheadle out of the movie entirely and not too much would change aside from the kid being his brother, I dunno, it would be too much to call it a bad movie.

That entire category was crap this year. I'm glad 36 Mafia won becuase they sucked the least.
