Mets and David Wright agreed to a contract extension for 6 years/$55 mil with a 7th year option (2013). Mets have taken care of the kids and now they can concentrate on getting some pitching in the offseason.

the Phillies certainly fucked up in bringing up Chase Utley from the minors.

Utley should have been an everyday player from the age of atleast 24 which would have helped his HOF chances.

No he didn't; he used Nazis stuffing Jews into ovens as an example of why "doing what you're told" isn't always right. It's not like he advocated the holocaust (which is what I was expecting before hearing the clip).

Good Lord, the Mets are fucking nasty. The Phils gave them an extra out and just like yesterday they made them pay. Great hit by Milledge kept the inning alive for a grand slam from the new high roller Reyes. <3 <3 this team.
