It was a total Piazza lovefest however. They even chanted Paul Lo Duca so he won't feel left out (and I'm sure because of the crap going on with him). When Piazza was lifted and Josh Bard was announced as the new catcher he was booed to death. Gotta love it.

Holy cow! Piazza almost singlehandedly pwned the Mets tonight. He hit 2 solo homers and barely missed a 3 run homer in the 8th inning. Pedro was great and Wags as usual made it interesting in the 9th but got the save. man..I almost had a heart attack when Piazza hit that ball in the 8th!

Why did Cashman not trade for another bullpen arm? You know the Phils would have loved to shed Gordon's contract as well.
Farnsworth is terrible. Mo is a workhorse but he's getting up there and he can't be relied upon for two-inning saves every night down the stretch.
