Thread: Official MLB 2006 Thread

  1. Yeah, Burnett said he felt his arm twinge, like it did before he needed TJ surgery. They put him on the 15 day DL while he goes to see a specialist - I'm praying it was just some bad chaw or something. Jays have done okay so far without getting much from him, but it's obviously tough to count on that continuing.

  2. Wow, Brewers blast 5 homeruns in one inning today. Ties MLB record.
    Brewers 11 Reds 0

FUCK! I went to the game last night and they didnt do shit. You BASTARDS!
They had one damn run. ONE!

  3. The Blue Jays have performed much better than I expected them to so far. I wasn't expecting Burnett to contribute much of anything so him getting hurt doesn't really effect their chances is my eyes. He's just the latest injury prone headcase NL pitcher to come to the AL.

If the Jays can get the sweep tomorrow, they'll be 1st in the AL East.
Why am I never home to watch the really, really good games?!

Exactly. Save Halladay, everyone else in the rotation is too spastic to rely on. I'm worried.

You need to mess up your foot and get 5 stitches so you too can waste 2 weekends in a row doing nothing but sitting in front of the TV watching sports and eating salty junk food. My blood pressure is like 180 right now.

Considering they've gotten pretty much nothing out of Halladay (He was good but not great today) and Burnett, everything they've done so far has been with the other guys. They'll still be able to outscore alot of teams, and the ones they can't they can gas with Gustavo Chacin's cologne.

    LOL!

All good colognes come from a dare.

  7. And because I get the day off and can watch the game from begining to end, the Jays can't score more than three. Fuck.

  8. Did I ever mention in this thread how much I hate Victor Zambrano?? He is a fucking piece of shit. DEMOTE THAT PIECE OF TRASH TO THE MINORS!! HE'S NO BETTER THAN LIMA TIME NOW.

He is 31 damn years old and if he can't come to grips with his so called "good stuff" at that age he never will.

I want Benson back. Kris too.

Fucking Matsui just left the bases loaded. Deportation FTW.

  10. But Peterson can fix Zambrano, don't worry.....

Giambi had a 2 HR 5 RBI game today after being named player of the week last week, Johnson and Mussina look healthy and sharp, things will be good if we can get 2 1/2 solid starters out of the Chacon/Wang/Wright/Pavano/Small heap. Wang's arm always concerns me, Wright is worthless, Pavano hasn't shown me anything, I like Chacon and I think Small could be solid if not as a starter then as a much needed longman in the bullpen.

The Mets are officially the new bandwagon, today I went to the mall and literally about 50 people had Mets jerseys on. I haven't seen this many Mets jerseys since 2000. It comforts me that the Yankees aren't the only team with tons of lousy bandwagon fans.

P.S. The Red Sox have tons of lousy bandwagon fans too. Last year one of my ex-bosses claimed to be a huge Boston fan, wouldn't stop rubbing in the 2004 nightmare. When they resigned Varitek and I told her that day, she replied "Who?"
