I can't see how wouldn't see a PS2 release- the install base is too big to pass up for Namco. Would be nice to see a tricked-out edition for the PS3 launch, though...
As a PS2 owner, I feel pretty much kicked in the teeth.
I don't know if anyone wants to confirm or deny, but from what I've heard from people who play/own SFZ3U and Darkstalkers for PSP, the system is terrible for fighters, and inputs are a gamble. I don't see how it will be any different here.
Also, I was really just looking forward to seeing DR on PS2, and I still am, but after this news, even if they do plan to do DR on PS2, it's not going to be for a while now, because this is just the kind of game that PSP needs to revitalize its unit sales.
... Fuck man.

I've got Darkstalkers Chronicle and Street Fighter Alpha 3 Max, and the controls are great on both games.Originally Posted by Do You Like Erotic?

I could see them making this the GH version of Tekken 5, like what Sega did with VF 4 Evo (which replaced the existing GH version of VF 4). If not, well, at least Tekken 5 on the PS2 has the arcade Tekken 1-3 on it.Originally Posted by Korly

I never liked the movement in VF4, I felt like i was never where I wanted to be. On the other hand, I hate the ground system of tekken, the ground game does not make the game more enjoyable for me at all. Currently I am playing DR quite a bit in the arcades, um, if maryland doesn`t have it, paul got a few new hits that seem to make for new combos. DJ seems prettyyyy good as well.

not bad looking at all. I still think I'd rather have a PS2/PS3 version but whatever, I'm sure it will hit a main console in time (if not the same time).
You must be shitting me. DR for PSP, this is the best news. Don't get me wrong, I'd love a PS2 version, but this looks absolutely amazing.
Everyone's "bitch bitch bitch" about the control in PSP fighters, but they seem to have played nothing but the Capcom ones. I repeat, and I have said this way too many times and nobody fucking listens: GGXX#R plays wonderfully on PSP. No problem with input, for ANYTHING. Just because Darkstalkers is a lazily programmed piece of shit doesn't mean the system is broken. I am confident that Tekken will be awesome.
