I plan on selling a ton of unopenned action figures on Ebay, any tips on shipping those? I can start another topic for this in Sound Off if needed.*-neo

You know you're right. 3$ + .30 isn't really that much... but there is also a $1.50 fee or something on top of that... Oh well I my as well just suck it up and do it. Thanks for the other perspective.Ever thought that it was the 3% fee?Originally Posted by napalm
OH? Whats this? 3% of $32.85 is approx. 99 cents plus your 30 cents is $1.29. Subtract that from the $32.85, what do you get? $31.56. Round it off and what do you get? $31.60.
OH MY GOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!111!!

I've done this too, and it's a pain in the ass. My problem is finding boxes that aren't too big/small. I should add that I refuse to pay for boxes when they can be found all over the place for free. Figures and toys come in such a wide variety of packaging, and if you want to keep them mint you really need a slightly oversized boxOriginally Posted by neoalphazero
It becomes a problem because it can be hard to judge what the shipping cost is prior to going to the post office. I have a scale and try to follow the post office guidelines, but even then I sometimes run into higher than expected shipping costs. Almost always this is after the auction has closed, so I sometimes eat the shipping cost by a dollar or so.
To pack them, I use newspaper that I send through a paper shredder. Works awesome and I've never had a complaint.
This reminds me, I still have a TON of stuff to sell/ebay.
Use boxes. You can get brown boxes at any store such as EB, GameStop, supermarkets, local delis or your local pharmacy. They always have boxes and you can ask them. Since there will be extra spacings, you can protect it with newspaper or if you can find someone who works in an office, they might be able to get your packing peanuts.Originally Posted by neoalphazero
If you are using Priority Mail, you can get boxes for free either at the PO or via the link I posted a couple posts back to order online. Just make sure you DO NOT order the flat rate. Priority Mail is faster delivery. Anything less than a pound is $4.05 not including delivery confirmation.
Thanks for the tips. I use my shredder constantly and didn't think to use it for cheap packing material. *-neo
shredded papers can be more pratical for those tight areas where a crumpled up newspaper wont fit.
