Thread: Achewood (Part 2)

  1. Achewood (Part 2)

There was another Achewood thread created nearly four years ago, but that has since been closed. I only mention this fine online comic strip now because it is running quite possibly the greatest arc ever written: The Great Outdoor Fight.

Here's the comic that starts the string of events that leads Ray into learning about The Great Outdoor Fight.

If you want to skip the prelude, here's the comic where Ray learns about his father, which piques his interest on The Great Outdoor Fight.

Very entertaining reading. Thought you guys might want in on this if you aren't already.

  2. I totally agree, I've been following achewood for years but this arc is by far Onstad's best work. I've been telling everyone I know about it, and I recommend that you skip the prelude and get right to Ray learning about the fight.

I can't wait for the shirts to come out on Friday, I'll probably get one.

  3. Yeah, I've been following this too.

Best story arc since Roast Beef went to heaven for the third time.

  4. I love Achewood, it is hell of tastefull. Best web comic ever.

I would have an Achewood avatar, but then I'd feel like I was biting on Mr-K's style.

Yeah I'm a fan. Not a huge fan but I'll be damned if it doesn't make me smile.

  6. Achewood is easily my favorite webcomic ever, and this new story arc is amazing. I too will be buying at least one Great Outdoor Fight t-shirt. When I was home last, I took in my copy of Onstad's original run of the Robert Johnson screenprint to get framed, I imagine it's waiting at home for me now.

  7. I just hope this arc doesn't fizzle out in awesomeness like a few of his other arcs. The one where Roast Beef and Ray go to Hell comes to mind, that had a strong start but a pretty weak finish, I'm not sure though I'll have to go bacck and read it.

I wish I had bought a Robert Johnson print, that would have been really cool to get framed, damnation.

    Go ahead, I don't mind.

He did a second run! They're two-tone now, with the bottom part in brown, as opposed to the all-red original. They look great. They're still in the online store, I just checked now. The originals went fast, but it looks like he has a lot more of these.
