You walk in on the guy already in the shop talking to Cletus, noob.

I don't need your noob-ass advice, he died from 2-3 Mega Buster shots to the face.

Yeah, it doesn't really feel that way, but I guess it makes sense. Still weird that there's a psycho just hanging out there with no hostages that you never get a call about.

What's the window to get the 3 survivalists? I tried to get them before the bomb run but ran out of time, so I went back to them after but they were gone, motherfuckers. Not really going for Saint this time around, but probably the next.

You don't get a call about him and about 10 survivors. There aren't cameras everywhere in the mall and as such Otis doesn't see everyone.

Why respond two days later just to be an asshole?

  5. Speaking of the Mega Blaster, I still don't have it.

Someone who really knows the score with mini-chainsaws tell me wether or not it's worth doing genocider again for it.

Alls I roll with is 2 minis, the 3 books, the +100% food book, mega buster, some wine and some queens.

I wouldn't say you need the Mega Buster for anything, ever, but the only goal I really set for myself in this game was to get the full Mega Man suit because it's totally pants. Looking back all the time I spent getting it was a little torturous and unnecessary. I did it on a day when I was home sick from work, so I had nothing better to do but to lie in bed and produce impressive amounts of mucus. I beat the game that morning, let the intro video loop a few times while I browsed the web, then came back and did the zombie kills in one sitting. I've never had a DRE, but then again I just got my 360 2 weeks ago so maybe that helps. I should try 7-day survivor.

  7. Having skimmed this thread while other people were playing was the worst idea ever. It did not even take much to ruin the game -- just knowing where the katana and SMG was in Paradise plus knowing the full 0wnage of the mini-chainsaws was more than enough to blow the game wide open.

Playing this game for score was also the most boring thing ever. Lulz at three hours of taking chainsaws to special forces units (but now I'm ranked #42 in the world in single game PP, e-penis++).

  8. Ok, so I borrowed DR from a friend and it's both the coolest and most annoying thing ever. I like just walking around and killing zombies and using different weapons, but the boss battles, like the guys out in the courtyard, make me hate the game. I'm guessing I probably need to level or something.

This thread is way too long to read it all, so I'm fishing for tips. If anyone's kind enough to tell me the least frustrating ways to get some levels and not have everything be totally annoying, I'm all ears.

  9. The fastest way to gain PP is to rescue survivors and also to kill psychopaths. It's not uncommon though, at the beginning, to restart the game with your level intact when you lose ("save settings and restart). I did it about twice until I started the game the third time at level 12 or so.

Starting this way makes the beginning a lot more do-able, and from there doing the case files will land you enough survivors and psychopath encounters to finish with the true ending at around level 35.

EDIT: If you're interested, you can get the mini-chainsaw, the best melee weapon in the game, by searching out the "Out of Control" scoop on the first night. Beat the boss and it respawns there every time you enter Wonderland Plaza.
