Godfather was a better movie that Meance 2 Society. That's pretty much it.
    Time for a change

  2. Having already established yourself in the clothing industry, do you feel the fact that you are a relative newcomer has been a factor at all in how you and this game have been received in the gaming community?

They love laying in to me. They’re scared that she went to the prom and she lost her virginity and she might leave the house. That’s what they’re afraid of. You know, that’s what’s going to happen in the gaming industry. The product is either going to emotionally connect or not, and that’s the bottom line.
What the fuck does this mean?

Because it has more history behind it, at one point was pretty influencial, and has an almost mythical "secret society" feel to it, due to the history and the influence. The day to day crimes aren't what interest most people about the mafia.

It has nothing to do with color. Organized crime typically targets other families that are cutting in on their "businesses". It's not mugging random, innocent people to pay for a crack habit. There are a hell of a lot of white people that fit in the thug category, but I am not surprised the hyper sensitive idiots on this board hid behind race.

wow so all those mountain of improvements mean nothing as long as you only play a black gangster & the theme of the game

I played a few hours and still don't see what's original about it. It's solid and fairly well put together but there's nothing innovative in it.

I do wish they'd cut out those "Tag the wall ten times!" objectives. I realize they're optional but having to press a button ten times in front of a wall with a limited number of designs just makes it look stupid. Those should've been freeform "Spray your own design!" or something else not boring.
but it's not linked to some huge franchise or license
Are you kidding? The Ecko brand is huge and it's pretty much the only reason this game has recieved the attention it has (and why the gameplay is pretty much being overlooked by a lot of people who are talking about it). Not to mention practically the entire focus of the visual design is to encourage people to buy branded products while being backed up said huge license.
I also agree with the vast amount of stuff this guy says. Most gamers are the most annoying people I have ever met that have a bug up their ass about everything little fucking thing. Urban games, EA,eastern/Western games, nintendo, etc.
Welcome to every group of people ever. Music people are stuck up, movie people are stuck up, art people are stuck up, videogame people are stuck up, clothing people are stuck up, religious people are stuck up, etc. Generally the less one knows or cares about a subject the less stuck up they are about it, and the more they learn about a subject and how they feel towards different things the more attached their opinions will become.

Oh wait so what happened to your "crime is crime" stance from a page ago?

Going back to the days of Prohibition.

I'm assuming you're talking about SA? I hate everything they added to it from VC. The eating and exercising shit is just retarded.

Gang members typically target other gangs which encroach on their territory. Ignoring your romanticization of it, the organized crime "businesses" include the drug dealing, stealing and the harrassing of innocent people, presumably carried out by some people who are on drugs and if so are as likely to mug someone for drug money as any other hood. In San Andreas, CJ was against drugs anyways. You should've been happy!

As far as Getting Up is concerned, it sounds like it has a theme a lot of people aren't interested in. It's about the same as not wanting a game because it stars a super princess named Peach. In order for people to overlook that sort of thing, they'd have to learn that the game was really really good... but the people that have played it aren't saying that, so it seems like it's fine to pass on, just like all of the other ok games that didn't catch their interest.
