Boo to hating FF8 names. I liked Selphie, Quistis, and Irvine are all awesome names, specially Irvine. Zell... Yeah, that's pretty different. I like to pretend Squall and Rinoa aren't in that game. Like... that boy and girl who i forget from FFX.

BEST NAMES EVAR

• Tron Bonne is super YES. Servbot too.
• Jill Dozer from Drill Dozer is so bad it's good.
• Fawful from Mario and Luigi Superstar
• Ciel, from any game that uses it. It's a nice name.
• Fayt Linegod from Star Ocean 3.
• Arnaud G. Vasquez from Wild Arms 4
• Cid and Barrett from FFVII, because OMG, PINK FLOYD REFERENCE
• Marina Lightyears is definitely the best name ever.

WORST
Stingle, Tales of Legendia. Worst name. Ever. Squall and Tidus are close, though.

Decoy Octopus is the worst name in the MGS series. Far worse than Fatman.

Running Man and Coward Duck are also in contention.

It's no Higharolla Cockamamie, but Snake's Revenge isn't canon so I dunno if that counts.

Higharolla Kockamamie is only mentioned in the manual and not in-game, so it doesn't count either (the final boss is actually a robotic Big Boss).

Running Man and Coward Duck are also in contention.

Well, they're both pop-culture references.

Running Man = an Arnold Schwarzenegger film.
Coward Duck = Howard the Duck.

That doesn't make them any less stupid though, but at least you get an idea where they come from. The new names from Subsistence are pretty stupid as well though (Shotmaker, Black Ninja, Jungle Evil, Night Fright).
