  1. Saturn collection is the best.

It's awesome and worth owning, but the Daimakaimura ~ Ghouls N Ghosts on X68000 is a tad better, because:

1.) the colors are more accurate to the arcade
2.) the proper ending music is there
3.) when Arthur powers up with the Golden Armor, the animation sequence is fully intact (it's shorter on Sat, PS1-PS2-Xbox)
4.) the resolution is more similar to the arcade than Saturn

I give the Saturn version 98% in its accuracy to the arcade, I give X68000 99%

but then few people actually own a X68000 so the Saturn version is much more accessable.

  3. And:

    5. It doens't pause before boss fights to change the audio track.

I used to beable to make it really far into the game with our dying at all and then I would hit this one part of the game and it's been years I can't remember what stage it was where it would just beat the shit out of me and then I would get all pissed off and frustrated and stop playing
    Where I play

  5. I've uploaded the Ghouls N Ghosts ~ Daimakaimura ending music from the SATURN version from Capcom Generation vol 2, as well as the Arcade, Genesis, SuperGrafx and Xbox versions.

in my honest opinion, they REALLY screwed up the ending music in the Saturn version -- whatever they did to it -- call it a remix, an arrangement, or what have you. I strongly dislike it. It's highly irritating.
even if it is technically advanced ( i'm not saying it is) I still really dislike this rendition...

I think the Genesis version of the ending music is FAR, FAR better as it reproduces the arcade much more nicely. The SuperGrafx version, well they kinda tried, concidering the limitations of the audio chip... it's not as good as the Genesis version. but these all make for an interesting comparison. I'll try to upload the Playstation / Xbox versions later.

    Good...

If any game deserves more attention it's this one.

IMO, one of the most underrated games ever.

Not many played it at the arcade back in the day, and the game came out for the Genesis in the early days when the user base was still very small, so most people who came around to Sega later during the 16 bit era missed out on this classic.
