When Rogan was on O&A he said a lot of it had to do with the post-janet-boob attiude of Comedy Central's Standards and Practices group. They essentually neutered anything really funny they wanted to do.

That season of the Man Show happened before the wardrobe malfunction. And it's really only a half truth. They weren't any harder on Doug and Joe than they were on adam and jimmy, but Adam and Jimmy kind of did this goofy, silly sature of manhood, and Stanhope and Rogan are like these genuinely edgy, black room comics with stong opinions and messages and stuff and they weren't given the freedom to do things their way and didn't know how to do it Adam and Jimmy's way.
