I would say this is true of the original Xbox. It remains to be seen if it will be for the 360, though the current three best games for the system are also on the PC (Oblivion, Condemned, and arguably CoD2), which isn't too reassuring.Originally Posted by Frogacuda
I'm still loving the 360 though, and I think it's already off to a better start than the Xbox. And I don't know if I'm really going to be interested in maintaining a high-end gaming PC in the future, so for the first time I'm probably going to be sticking with the 360/PS3 versions of a lot of PC games. I think consoles are finally at the level where they can pull off PC-style games at a very competent level.
Anyway, FEAR was a dissapointment, so I don't care.
hasn't this always been the case, at least for the first year of every console gen?Originally Posted by Andy

GRAW for 360 is the epitome is awesome tactical military shooter. I'm astounded at how resiliant the FPS genre is in regards to offering varying experiences. Too bad I never get to play the fucking game anymore. Ever since I knocked my buddy Steve out twice in a row he's been trying to take me down with a KO in Fight Night. The student has become the teacher (he taught me how to play).
I'm 5 - 0 online.
Steve, mentioned above, bought his 360 for GRAW. He picked up Call of Duty as well. I wouldn't call him a casual gamer but I wouldn't call him a hardcore gamer either. It definitely moves systems, good games tend to do that.Originally Posted by Tracer
