It's true, Freebird is ass. However, I do chuckle when people yell it at shows, it annoys me more when people yell actual songs.

Southern rock can be awesome (and lynyrd skynyrd has some good songs) . But freebird is a bloated, wanky anthem for shirtless drunken guys. It is the perfect example of excess over quality that so many "classic" rock songs of that era were filled with.
