At that point shouldn't you just pick up a real instrument?
If your primary concern is challenge, yes.
These people aren't playing games like In The Groove and Beatmania IIDX because the games have kickin' rad music (I like a lot of the music in IIDX, but that's another point). They're playing it because they offer more butans and arrows per minute to hit than the competition without delving into utter stupidity.
At that point shouldn't you just pick up a real instrument?
That could be answered in two ways:
1) Challenge is a major part of any game.
2) The same could be said about any game.
And, yes, I know I mentioned elitists before. I just don't understand how "sucks" = "not challenging"
I thought that meant, "Great game, but not for me."
You're just not trying hard enough.
I need to update my resume, really.
Bemani fans are a lot like shooter fans. The only way to appease them is to introduce a ton of extra instrumental-only songs that consist of only ridiculously over-complex leads.
Fuck the haters.
