Couple of Movie tidbits

Tobal ~ LOL. I realized after I said that how lamer I was.

I'm sure there may have been a few sold here and there... we still get people coming into Circuit City once in a while looking for VHS and wondering why we don't carry them. We haven't in over 2 years, but hey, some people are slow to adapt. We actually had someone in about 3 or 4 weeks ago, and when I asked why they didn't just buy it on DVD they said "I hate black bars."

My mom is the same way. I tell her that you lose picture if you get fullscreen. She's used to it now. After like 15 movies, cause all I buy are widescreen. She always borrows my DVD's. Hell I even gave her my old Sony DVD player when I bought the XBox and PS2. I never should have given her that one. Cost me like $300 and it was top of the line too.

The bigger question is why is it Comedy Central getting the rights.

Then just say SpikeTV, in my opinion... or say Paramount/Viacom... there's no reason for them to mention Comedy Central.

Yeah, all I get is widescreen (it's why I got a DVD player to begin with) so my mom got used to it as well... now she has NetFlix and they only carry widescreen

i think AvP got as much as it did because of worldwide box office ticket sales. iirc it did much better outside of America.
