Thread: Favourite NES games?

I guess that's where the opinion differs. Something to me still holds its value even if it's outdated. It still was great. I don't rate a NES game on the same points I rate a PS2 game. That's just silly. One was made as basic shapes and colours. Another has characters who look almost real.

I'm just saying, why dismiss as no longer great because it's old. It's still great - at least to me.

    1. I like the condescension. It was a nice touch in a topic about difference of opinion.

    2. You may not like NES anymore, but that doesnt mean other people do not. So posting 'NES games aren't great anymore' isn't the brightest thing to do in a NES thread. No? Maybe I'm just acting a little ptolemistic.

(Forgot to add numbers to make my point come across as more 'correct'!)

I've been playing both. I kind of favour TWW right now but I think my favourite NES game is WCW Wrestling. Once you the controls down, it's a lot of fun. Plus finishers! I think it's the first wrestler game with them!

Why not? It's a thread discussing the NES, good or bad. It's not a thread about only saying good things about the NES.

  3. Raid on the Bungling Bay
    M.U.L.E
    Jackal
    Blaster Master
    Magic Johnson's Fast Break
    Tecmo Bowl

it's a thread discussing favorite NES games, not a discussion in general about how the games have held up. so unless people are posting games they liked they're not on topic. because at least to most of the world, favorite=nice things to say about.

punch out is one of the few games i fire up from time to time.

It's not really that at all. I just have a problem with people around here who try to cram their opinions down other peoples throats like it's carved in stone like the god damn ten commandments.

There is debate, but to debate you gotta give a little to get a little.

But as Dragon said, this thread is about your favourite NES games. Not about whether you like NES games. I searched the forums for any thread on NES and didn't see one, so here we are.

considering the title of the thread is "Favourite NES games? " favourite tends to lend it's self to good things and only good things

now if the title was just talk about the NES then sure go on with what ever you wanted, but the point of this title was to talk about your favorite NES games not about how you think the NES sucks now

*edit* damn it beaten to the punch by Dragon and Jonas, that'll teach to type up a post and going to the bathroom before hitting to post it
