Its EA's servers. They suck cock once again. I played fine yesterday but now the shit wont even sign in. Its fucking gay we even have to sign into EA's faggy shit to begin with.
Anyone else having trouble seeing their friends' games in session? This game is great, I just haven't been able to register my friends' or my games together for one session.

Korly-"Everyone here is an asshole, SURPRISE!"
How's the animation in this game? A bunch of us were talking about the commercial for it and how awful the animation is in that, and I was wondering if the animation in the game is any better or similar tot he commercial.
So far I'm finding the game enjoyable. Have gotten all my recruits, am now working through the missions trying to earn and find air strikes. Not thrilled with the Fuel thing, but I guess if you are running a company you gotta pay for shit, so that makes sense.
Really starting to get tired of hearing Fiona telling me to come talk to her if I think I'm lost.
Also not thrilled with the 720p out put.
The graphics in general are pretty shitty. Actually now that I've spent some time with the game the entire thing is shit. There are so many talentless shit glitches in the game you wonder where the time went. The controls aren't next-gen, the graphics aren't next-gen and the experience overall feels like a PS2 game with some upgrades. The funnest part about this game is being able to hop online and play with a friend, but the servers are such shit everything is glitched to shit. I haven't played a game so glitchy since the PSOne days, or with so much lag since I was on dial-up.
On the positive side the mission structure and overall game is still kind of fun. And playing with friends will be awesome once they get their shit fixed. Except apparently everything is a timed mission in this fucking game. Blow X target up before 12 minutes or else you lose!! Fucking stupid.

But it sure is ugly. I'm using an SDTV (yeah, yeah, shut up) and the vegetation fade-in and low-poly models are still very noticeable. I wonder if the PC version coming out in a few days will have graphical adjustment options to fix this.
Just as a point of reference, co-op play sucking wind right now is completely a function of EA's servers failing at life. When I was playing online with a friend before the street date, the online play worked fine. Only downside is that you have to stay within a half-kilometer of your partner, but beyond that things can get pretty hectic.
The game is one of the buggiest games I have ever played this generation, though. Everything from cars randomly blowing up for no reason to getting stuck in action hijacks to hitting something and being sent three kilometers, this game has it all. The AI is also a complete joke, and it can't even decide what kind of joke -- sometimes it won't fire at me at all, and sometimes it'll fire rockets point-blank to be a dick.
The game does have its moments though. One example of this was going after a HVT on an oil rig, we had secured the rig and subuded the target but the pick-up chopper couldn't land due to SAMs in some ungodly wacky place. We spend a couple minutes looking for them, find out they're in the water, and as we're bringing one of the boats around... the HVT comes crashing down on the boat, killing himself and leaving us both going WTF for a couple of minutes.
This game is hilarious - as it feels like Mercs1 (buggy as shit in all the right places) but with a fresh coat of paint and some new perks. I've had zero issues online, the sniper rifle is still 100% accurate from the hip (thank god), and nothing says kickin rad like free falling off of a skyscraper, only to grapple-hook yourself onto a friends helicopter as he does a flyby.
XBL Gamertag = XMrWhitefolksX
I think the overall concept and execution makes the game good despite some of its glaring technical limitations. Once the online portion is fixed I'll be a lot happier. I'm not that far into it, and can now call in air strikes and drop cars. I didn't realize getting Eva meant you had the grappling hook. I was being chased by a helicopter pilot in the mission to help the drunken air strike guy and would have loved to be rid of that nuisance earlier on. Luckily I found an anti-aircraft weapon and took it out.
