Thread: Dimming the Sun

  1. PBS can hate whatever they like so long as Elmo is pushing it to kids in his adorable little way.

  5. Nothing major like this will ever change in this world. There are far too many people who would ignore it rather than do something about it.

Look at how much we rely on gas. It's ridiculous.

Wooo, boy. I'm gonna have to take some Tylenol after all the thought provoking debate that has transpired since I made this thread.

  7. Then after that you're going to don your white hood and burn a cross on some poor man's lawn, right? Isn't that what you do, IP?

  8. I'm sorry you were under the impression people took PBS seriously Iron Plant

  9. I've got no problem with PBS, I love Frontline. But what IP fails to realize is that no one here, or in the public at large, cares about Global Climate Change because they either a.) deny it (citing fringe science against the acknowledged community's position, this also includes people whose only political thought is shaped by South Park), b.) supply it (assholes like morphix who say "I own three hummers and am proud, FUCK the air I'll just buy cleaner stuff when it comes to that, like in Spaceballs), c.) avoid it (OMG who cares, stupid shit like ADVENT CHILDREN is ABOUT THE COME OUTTTTTT!)

  10. this also includes people whose only political thought is shaped by South Park
Yeah, I bet alot alot of people's political thought is shaped by South Park Why just South Park? Most peoples views, atleast in the US, are politically driven by TV some way or another. Whether people like it or not, it is constantly being shaped, but I highly doubt South Park that high up on the radar.
I like John Stewart, but I'd say his show probably influences political thought. I don't know whether that is a good thing or not, but that is a truer statement than the one you posted.
