That's the other thing. I hardly have any cards. Like I stated, out of
the seven matches I've played, I've only lost twice. Should I try to lose more to get more cards?
This sounds like a lot of fun. I used to play Magic but all the smelly nerds forced me to stop.
This isn't a camera game, is it?

You mean, does it require a camera, or just one. It doesn't need one like Eye of Judgement, but I have no idea if it has XBL camera features (but I doubt it).
Making a largely support-based deck allows you to skew the percentage towards creatures a lot higher. You will still need some scrolls and stealy-hands/gremlin amulets (if they exist in this one), but all your weapons and armor can be replaced with other creatures. Guys like the Executioner and apparently the DeathScythe are great "weapons", Stone Walls and the like amazingly cheap "armor".
I hope there's more options for support decks in Saga though. In the PS2 rev, the support creatures all generally have poor stats, and the creatures you'd be using as items aren't ideal if they have to be put on land. Worse, you have no way to protect them if you do, because they themselves aren't support creatures, and you barely have any items in such decks. Still, supporting a Bloody Pudding with a Colossus is some good times.
Are there Gremlins in Saga?
-and: In the PS2 rev, you get less cards for losing than you do for winning (you get screwed for getting 4th in a multiplayer), so unless it takes 3 times as long for you to win as it does to lose, I'd say no.

Gremlins are back in Saga. Same cost, same stats, same ability.
I don't think so; Evil Blast was a little too versatile. From what I've gathered, it's back in some form, but has been "split" into two complimentary cards la Gremlin Amulet. Both of them cost 80G, one deals 30 to a green or red creature, the other to blue or yellow. I've only actually seen the G/R version, but the game's symmetrical nature suggests that there's a B/Y incarnation out there.
A few representatives from Namco/Bandai will be hosting Blind matches this Friday night.

I didn't know it would be blind matches. Awesome.

Man, I suck ass at online games. Maybe I don't know how to make a deck. Maybe people have 15+ years of experience with magic over me, maybe I get bad rolls, but I get 3-4th place in just about every match. I have gotten 2nd place a couple of times, and even when I lost all those matches, I was 13th on the leaderboards last time I looked.

The points leaderboard is sort of arbitrary; it's basically just a contest to see who can complete the most matches, not necessarily who is winning. This is further exacerbated by the popularity of setting up speed matches (smallest map, minimum rounds, minimum goal) to churn out cards/points quickly. I guarantee I could smoke PaperTONE.
