    Since no one really replied to your question (skittles, yes yes), it's basically a trading card board game. The best way to put it is a cross between Monopoly and Magic the Gathering.

    It's like Monopoly in that you roll dice, move your piece onto land, and have the option to acquire that land. The land is also upgradeable. If an enemy ends up on your land, they have to pay resources to you, which helps you to acquire or upgrade more land. Reach a certain minimum and you win the game.

    But the catch is that you acquire land by casting creature cards and having them occupy those land spaces. Land and creatures are colored. But if he manages to kill you in that one round, he now becomes the owner of your land.

    That's basically the gist of it. There is a lot more to it because in addition to creature cards, you have all kinds of spell cards, and offense/defense boosters. There's also non-land squares you can land on with different effects. Plus every stage's board layout and resource goal is different as well.

    You begin the game with a certain pool of random cards. From there, as you play matches, you receive more. If you win a match, you receive more cards than if you lost it... but either way, you still gain cards when you complete a
    match. You can customize your deck anytime.

    There's a lot of strategy to Culdcept, and it's just plain fun. Culdcept II on Dreamcast/PS2 had an online component too, but the US version stripped that out. So Culdcept Saga will be the first US Culdcept game with online play. <3
