Thread: Introducing... the Nintendo Wii

  1. #281
I'm just going to call it "Nintendo." It plays all those nintendo games, so I might as well.
It's been a long time since I could just call something the Nintendo. I'm looking forward to it.

Let's hope it's more like Monkey Ball 1 instead of 2. MB2 was too gimmky with all the switches, part 2 involved more luck than skill. Also, please Monkey Ball Wii bone crunching hard like MB1.

and btw, A new Baseball Monkey Ball mini game where you have to swing the Nintendo controller to bat would totaly rock!!!!!

    and last, make it online.

    you just know it's coming.

edit: I wanna pre-order the wii and PS3 the moment they go on sale. Let's just hope that EB doesnt force shitty bundles, if it includes the games i want, im all for it, since the import stores in the UAE would sell them for an arm and a leg anyways......also both systems would perfectly compliment by 46"(or 50, 1080p) Sony Bravia just intime(with HDMI)

EDIT: first game i would download on the Wii is TG16 "Ninja Spirit"

    They will.

On that note, E3 can't come fast enough. I want to see some Wii crap, damn'it.

Anyway, this whole "The Wii" ordeal reminds me of what Andy Rooney said about good writing. He said good writing won't pop out at you as good writing; it'll flow so well that you wouldn't have to stop and say "Wow, that's good writing." When you actually end up doing just that, it's no longer "good writing" but "pretentious writing."
Andy Rooney's writing makes me stop and say "Wow, that makes me want to kick you down the stairs and toss your walker after you, you brittle old bitch."

    Which category would that be?

Shortly after at the latest, yeah.
I'm thinking Gamestop/EB will start taking preorders in mid-May or, at latest, early June.

I seem to remember them taking preorders for the 360 a few days after that MTV special.

  7. sweet.i'm all over it.

btw, is there a chance the american Revolution gets a different? like the old days, when the SNES was called Super Famicom, Genesis was Megadrive, NES was Famicom, TG16 was PC Engine....and so on. i dount it, but here is to hoping.

No. The days of seperate territories are long gone. It's all about global brands now.

Ii means 'good' in Japanese. It was likely that multilayered meaning that sold them on it.
