The thing that really is going for this game (as Mech said) is the atmosphere. There's nothing else like it right now and it's totally different gameplay wise too. It's kinda like Prince of Persia and Crackdown mushed together. I really want to be home and playing this.

I read that earlier today and I most definitely agreed with the viewpoint of reviewers having to rush things and how that can affect you. Back when I wrote reviews I loved doing so, but with work taking up a large chunk of my day and then forcing myself through stuff even when I didn't want to started to burn me out on playing anything at all.

I really want to be home and playing this.

So I rented the game today and played through till I got a horse. This game so far is way better than a 7.0. I think I'm going to stop playing it now and get it for Xmas. I'd buy it but people want to know what to get me for presents and this would be sweet with Mario Galaxy and Mass Effect.

I had my doubts, but the game seems really kick ass.

I would give impressions but I'm not rewording what Rumpy and Mech already wrote. In other words, I agree with almost everything they posted.

Also.

I wish the guards wouldn't give up so easily - four seconds in a haystack and it's as if I never existed.

The world has a huge feel to it, even more so if you disable all the annoying UI "features" like the radar. Looking at your surroundings and checking the map is more entertaining than staring at a compass marker. Giving us a toggle for the UI eliminates my "stop the hand-holding" argument.

Depends on if they see you hop in. I once tried to jump in one during a chase and they dragged me out and started beating on me while I was still on the ground. Rodney King simulator imo

I've heard mediocre things about this game from another TnLer but I still want to play it. Will most likely pick this up today. I hope it lives up to the hype, otherwise it will be another $60 unwellspent.

OH! I got this kick ass artbook when I picked up the game. The concept drawings are fucking amazing. It's really neat how Alatair is designed after a hawk.

With what I've seen the AI does seem like the games biggest bummer. It can be really dumb. Did I mention I want to go home and play this right now?
