Ok, I wasn't going to make a thread for this because generally all of the big announcements are saved for the big three conferences. But anyway, SE's conference has been going on for a while now, there was nothing interesting outside of an English trailer for FF12 until just recently. Here are the interesting bits:

1:49 I spoke too soon: Here's our first real footage of FFVII Crisis Core for the PSP. Stars Zack of Soldier fame, apparently, and there's a ton of Sephiroth in here (down, boys 'n girls). No gameplay footage, only real-time cutscenes, but it looks amazing for a PSP game.

1:51 Here we go--Dragon Quest is coming to the Wii. Some dude is fighting a stone golem in a forest. Dragon Quest Swords: The Masked Queen and the Tower of Mirrors. Launch title for the Wii! No real footage of the game, but still, big news.

1:54 The hits keep on coming--now we have Akitoshi Kawazu, exec. producer of Crystal Chronicles. Two new games from that series: one DS, one Wii. DS game is Ring of Fates, and will have wi-fi multiplayer (duh). Looks a bit more whimsical than the Cube version, same basic sense of style though. They're showing four players at once, like you'd expect. Yay DS!

2:05 PM - Shinji Hasimoto, corporate executive, on stage... revealing world premier of a new PlayStation 3 title. Currently watching the trailer. The game is a PS3 exclusive, and is Final Fantasy 13.

And LOL at the DQ title. I had to have been saying it'd be DQ Kenshin on there for months now.

Yeah, I'm not surprised by it at all, either. And I don't see what the fuss over it is, unless it's a full fledged DQ title. I'm not exactly pumped to play an old school JRPG where you swing the Wii controller to fucking attack.

Just from the title alone we know that it isn't part of the DQ series proper, so it will be pretty irrelevant.
