I enjoyed the demo, but it's hard for me to get a feel for what the entire game will be like. I am assuming small decisions like whether or not to steal the $50 back on your way out of the whore's room will add up to story branches or different endings later on. I think what interests me is that it's different. It seems like almost every other new IP can be described as a mix of two other well known ones. I don't think Heavy Rain fits that mold.
I agree, the little things that you will or won't do are what makes this really interesting. After I spoke with the whore and I bumped into the guy at the top of the steps I'm pretty sure I could have just left instead of going back to make sure she was alright. I'll have to give that another go and see how it changes things.
I didn't mind the supernatural stuff in IP early on when it was mysterious (like the opening scene), but it was when they peeled back the layers of the onion that it just became so apparently stupid.
