agreed.
he played a retarded shrimp boat captain for gods sake. you can't argue with that.
Seriously. What the hell? You're sinking to the bottom of the barrel when you hate on Tom Hanks of all people. Christ. Not thinking he's the greatest thing ever =/= Tom Hanks sucks.

I liked Ladykillers. Whenever The Coens do those homages (or in this case a remake) of those old 30s screwball comedies people always hate on them (Intolerable Cruelty, Ladykillers, Hudsucker Proxy, etc). I don't know why that is. Maybe they're expecting realism in the dialogue where it was never intended?Originally Posted by sethsez

That's not really the picture the book painted. Robert Langdon seemed like more of an older Sean Connery looking guy to me.Originally Posted by stormy
I would say Indiana Jones-ish without the athleticism. Sean Connery isn't a bad description.
Langdon is supposed to be the sort of charming, sexy professor that makes the girls in his class wet. Tom Hanks, for all his pros, is not that guy.

Sahara was more of an Indiana Jones rip off.
