What I read was good but I got bored around the fourth paragraph and stopped reading. But it is also 5:30 am here, so I may just be sleepy.
After a nearly one-year hiatus, a hard drive crash, and a website face lift (to make up for lost PSDs), I've finally gotten around writing again, finishing a review I started months ago. I'd say it's a bit atypical, almost completely support for a kooky analogy I created (my girlfriend is used to my curious brand of analogy). Hope it works for ya'll.
First person shooters and unapologetic audacity are both remarkably American in heritage. It's surprising then that a group of British game developers were the first to unite the two. BLACK's ferocious aversion to everything nonexplosive speaks personally to my American instincts, yet the game possesses an elegance in execution that is decisively European. Following the blueprints of a modern TVR supercar, BLACK takes two parts American muscle and infuses one part English manners, gracefully marrying the heritage of two nations to deliver a distinctly powerful and uncompromising experience . . . more

I read it. Good review, Mark. I agree with the review, I am a thrill seeker and I loved the game. Its still in my library.
I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me.
If this is an example of general British game journalism, they need to lighten up. Overly haughty and wordy, this thing reads like a Stephen King novel.
But, yeah I agree, BLACK rocks. I've finished it in Normal and Hard modes. (Black Ops was just too hardcore for me). It's great going back to previous levels with silver weapons and unlimited ammo on all weapons (except grenades). Such a stress reliever to just blast the shit out of people and things with wanton abandon, and the audio makes the adrenaline pump that much harder. Definitely a keeper for me.

That review was hard to read, but yeah, it'a a fun game.
It's on my "maybe I can win it on eBay for 10 dollars shipped" list.Originally Posted by diffusionx
