The Nintendo first party games, collectively, are the system seller. It'll probably take another year or two before they figure out how to make FPS games that are better than keyboard and mouse. Maybe Red Steel 2, who knows.
    No gnus is good gnus.

  2. Id rather 200, because i think it would grab more people, and would fit more conveniently in the "whole wii+360=ps3 price" bit we keep hearing. but im guessing they will try to grab for more and try the 250, hope im wrong.

  5. Buy Yakuza and Oblivion. Help yourself, help TNL.

  6. I still think Zelda could be a pack-in. Delaying the game to the Wii launch is interesting.

I don't think it's that interesting. They didn't have any other top franchises ready for launch (wait, is Mario Galaxy?) and they wanted something to sell systems.

There are no rules, only consequences.

  8. Metroid Prime 3 is launch.

I've read that Mario Galaxy, like Smash Bros, won't be ready until 2007.

Really? I don't remember reading a confirmation on that. I thought that was going to be released in 2007 as well.

  10. Yeah, the controller seems to be a fairly costly component. Wireless, motion sensors, speaker, rumble, and if some reports are to be believed, a mic and force feedback... a wiimote probably costs about as much to manufacture as a GBA.

I'd like the system to be inexpensive more than anyone, I'm cheap as hell... but if Nintendo can get away with $250, still look like a bargain and sell like gangbusters, I don't see why they wouldn't. They're a business first and foremost.

Miyamoto said they're aiming for launch ideally, but if not it'll be within 6 months.
