The Nintendo first party games, collectively, are the system seller. It'll probably take another year or two before they figure out how to make FPS games that are better than keyboard and mouse. Maybe Red Steel 2, who knows.

Nintendo made games used to be a guaranteed 100% sure fire thing. Not any more. I didn't like Mario or Zelda on Gamecube, so the free pass is over, IMO.

I'd still like to try the controller before I decide. I just can't imaging it not making my arm tired after like 45 min. or so. Shit, playing House of the Dead on Dreamcast and Xbox made my arm tired.

Price wise, $200 or $250 makes no difference to me. I just need to see the killer app.

Um, most of the time, actually. The only recent example of a game slipping after they gave it a concrete date was New Super Mario Bros., and the difference was only a week.

Maybe you're thinking of when Rare was with them.

I don't think it's that interesting. They didn't have any other top franchises ready for launch (wait, is Mario Galaxy?) and they wanted something to sell systems.

Miyamoto claims within 6 months of launch, which when translated from PR jazz to normal english probably means Christmas 2007.

people need to stop jumping the gun and putting "confirmed" in threads when it's nothing is confirmed. When nintendo issues a press release here in the US then it will be "confirmed".
