I think every model SMS has the maze game. Do you know the code?

  2. Here's the code, taken from Jeff Bogumil's SMS FAQ.

First, hold down the sequence given above. While holding, turn the machine
    on and wait.

The SMS II (and possibly late released versions of the SMS I with 2
games built-in) do not have the snail maze game.

    Finished in 2021: 8 games (PC: 4, PS4: 2, PS3: 1, X1: 1)

  3. I've also come across systems with missle defense 3D built in.
I had forgotton about Enuro Racer, I used to play that game all the time. I wouldn't buy any upgrades except for the third and eighth race. I'd get a accelerator and engine upgrade, and you could get so much air if you pulled the jumps off right. Grat ending to (not really, but very inspiratiional)

  4. A code! I thought you just turned on the system without a cart in it and the game would appear like magic. I always got a screen saying what version of the system I had.

I'm a big Castlevania fan. Because of this thread, I picked up Kenseiden. I would have never known about this game otherwise. Thanks dude! Just thought I'd let you know.

Sweet. I'm interested to know how much you like it. I think the game gets better as you progress and gain more skills.

  7. Kenseiden stands as one of my favorite games of the 8 bit generation. It had it all. Top-notch graphics, a killer soundtrack and gameplay that's surprisingly deep for its genre.

  8. All I had to do was trade in a bunch shit games, and boom. Mine. I look forward to playing it.

  9. Played it for a bit. Reminds me more of Shinobi, but I see the Castlevania influence (ie., flying eyeballs, spiders, bats and the main character's rigid movement). I like it. Next on my list: Master of Darkness.

Though, I think that one will be harder to find.

  10. It's not like Shinobi much at all, really. No projectiles, not much arcade feel. More focus on exploration, playing the levels in different orders.
