Forget Shrek 3, this is the animated movie to beat this summer. It's Pixar, directed by Brad Bird, stars Patton Oswalt (one of the finest stand-ups working today), and it's all about French cuisine. Formidable!
Watching the nine-minute trailer, I really admired the degree of detail and care Pixar and Bird have put into this movie, from the manic French cuisine to the beautiful moonlit quays to the (mostly) accurate Parisian skyline.

IBTN, Shrek 3 looks like trash.
The part where Remy gags at the soup, throws some spices in, then slides to a stop while waving his finger (before that he rolls his fingers) is just fucking amazing animation.

Pixar is fucking amazing, their attention to detail is mind boggling.

I think the character design is good for cgi, but cigs lives in a different world, and I suppose he has room to talk.

This movie looks great. You can just tell Pixar puts a lot more effort and has a lot more creative people going in to these movies than the competition. Every character and gag has a witty and clever element to it. Movies like The And Bully just seem to be content with the same ol' boring cartoon gags that've been going around for 50 years.
I'd LOVE to see Pixar take a crack at producing a great 2D animated classic.

I saw this at an early screening like hmm 2 weekends ago and the movie was fantastic, their best work yet since incredibles.
Brad Bird is pretty much the best director in animation today.
